Job Summary:

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing an accurate forecast by customer and SKUs for GoGo squeeZ products, on a weekly and monthly basis. They will build that forecast based on statistical modelling calculated in the demand system and has a very strong business understanding that allows them to challenge market analysis or sales/marketing information. Once forecast is built, they will lead the monthly consensus meeting with the leadership team to validate the official forecast for the coming 18 months and its associated risks and opportunities. The last key responsibility is to provide demand expertise and reports to support Marketing, Sales and Senior Leadership.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Responsible for the consistency and the quality of the global forecast
    • Build a solid partnership with the business team (Sales, Marketing, Finance)
      • Have a good knowledge of the products
      • Have a good knowledge of the customers
      • Understand the financial issues and constraints
      • Understand the Supply Chain issues and constraints
    • Build and generate a monthly accurate forecast by customer/ SKUs:
    • Baseline Forecast:
      • Configure demand planning system to provide an accurate baseline:
        • Ensure we have the right algorithm by customers/items
        • Ensure customer forecast hierarchy is appropriate.
        • Ensure the SKUs are setup properly in the system
      • Review historical data, analyze previous month performances
      • Independently meet with Marketing and Sales partners on a monthly basis to revise and develop customer forecasts and challenge baseline numbers when necessary (POS and ROS data analysis, Customers inventory, etc.).
    • Promotions/innovation management:
      • Analyze, challenge and enter in the system the customer promotions, distributions changes and innovation by reviewing the trackers with the Sales and Marketing teams during the monthly 1 on 1.
      • Review historical data and analyze previous month performances. Keep track of all the risk & opportunities and be able to present to the consensus team
    • Lead the monthly consensus process
      • Present statistical forecast
      • Explain business assumptions behind the forecast and methods used to quantify each event.
      • Present recommendation in terms of R&O and impact on volume to the consensus team
      • Compare forecasts to financial budgets and previous forecast. Explain variances, note uncertainty, and highlight risk areas to the consensus team.
      • Communicate the official forecasts with any impacting changes to the Supply team
    • Demand planning reporting and KPIs
    • Develop forecast accuracy reporting and monitor forecast performance vs actuals results on a weekly, monthly and long term basis.
  • Manages the catalogue
    • ABC Class
    • Analyze the consistency of the catalogue and propose to discontinue the underperforming SKUs
    • Challenges the launches / manages the launches library
  • Be part of the MNA S&OP team:
    • Support supply planning by communicating key issues and uncertainty behind the forecast. Adjust forecasts mid-month when orders are not developing as expected.
    • Present and explain the main changes in the forecast during local COMOP
    • Will work and challenge sales and marketing volume opportunities (scenarios).
  • Process ownership
    • The Demand Planner is responsible for designing/implementing their process in respect to group best practices and rules. Ensure that the system is in line with the process
    • Participate in the design of other company processes where their involvement may be required (Budget, AOP, Commercial reviews etc.)
  • All other duties ass assigned

Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain required
  • Master degree preferred


  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Role includes extensive data mining and spreadsheet analysis – strong mathematical abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite, particularly Excel
  • Successful experience in demand planning and forecasting in a CPG company working with major US retailers.
  • Experience utilizing a demand planning system
  • Experience in the food or beverage industry is also a plus.


  • Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data and build quantitative models of business problems.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels and to challenge Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
  • Ability to find errors in large data sets and identify significant data amid large volumes of routine information.


  • Must be able work in normal office conditions.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day
  • Travel occasionally
